Chinese New Year Day 15

It's the last day of Chinese New Year, also known as Yuan Xiao (元宵节), Lantern Festival.

"Traditionally, the Lantern Festival is a day for lovers. In ancient traditions, it was one of the few nights in ancient times without a strict curfew. Young people were chaperoned in the streets in hopes of finding love under the full moon."
~ wikipedia on Day 15th of Chinese New Year

Vincent took this opportunity to celebrate the full moon together. I wasn't expecting anymore presents after the V day all paid trip to Macau. Ok ok... I am not being truthful. I was expecting a wax paper dragon lantern or a full moon held in his hand... something along that line.

But nope, this box doesn't look a wee bit like the lantern/moon is stuffed in there. The apple-smelling rose looks pretty enough to accept the empty box as a present, I thought.

So when IÂ open the box, my jaw dropped literally. Vincent said my reaction looks fake, but I was indeed suprised! I mean, firstly, I didn't buy him a present. Uh-oh... Secondly, who celebrates Yuan Xiao as if it's a Chinese V Day? This dude has managed to pull all that off.

Like all other dates, it's very simple yet heavily-packed with mushyness. I mean, how can we resist from each other's arms when comfortably seated on a plush couch with live jazz singing in the background? Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin! *grins*

Ladies and Gentlemen, may I present you the Samsung YP-T9 MP3 player! It's a whole lot better than my missing MP3 player. Not only it is tiny, sleek and thin, it won the cNet Asia Editor's choice too! It made me realised that Vincent has lost alot of his precious sleep to research on this cute gadget and made alot of effort to painfully place in our favourite music, our travel photos and courtship videos.

The biggest surpise is a new video he created which got me bawling like I did when watching Korean dramas!

Due to the high-mushyness-intensity, I shall spare you the torture of watching the video. The video basically sums up our time together for the past six months. Our relationship is neither a happily-ever-after fairy tale nor a sail boat in a bath tub. It's very painful to go through the bad times, but utterly sweet when we are still holding hands at the end of the road.

All these caused wounds in both our hearts and fears set in like second nature. When the video appeared the 3 magical words for the first time, my heart just heals in the wave of the wand. It felt like conquring the world after trying to run around it in the most torturous way.

Or perhaps it's just the full moon effect that causes the whirpool of emotions.

The night ended with us on the phone, grinning like idoits, feeling absolutely shy blurting out the 3 magic words to each other.
